English Ministry Leadership Team
I hold an MA in Urban Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Together with my husband, Dave Zagunis, I served as an Associate Pastor at Spanish Evangelical Church in Lawrence MA for over 12 years before coming to CLJ. I love reading and mentoring young women in their Christian walk.
My life scripture is
James 4 :17“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
I refreshed by baking, cooking, serving, sharing and caring for those in need.
My Life Scripture is “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength.”-Philippians 4:13
I am refreshed by spending quiet time in God presence early morning at my kitchen table, sharing with my family and friends, traveling, as an encourager and through missions.
Ministry passion: Relational, sexual, and gender wholeness; Helping people to find God’s healing from trauma and pain. I want people to be able to live whole lives trusting more fully in God.
Married to Peg with 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Aeronautical & Astronautical engineer. Bought my house in Uphams Corner (Dorchester) after leaving grad school and been fixing it up ever since.
My favorite scripture is Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day.”
I oversee the Audio Video Services for Congregation Lion of Judah. I was born in Canada but have lived in the United States since my last year of High School.
My Life Scripture is “And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” I Peter 5:10
I am refreshed by praying with a friend, walking by the ocean, listening to music, enjoying friends, travelling and reading an inspirational book.

" And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work..."
My passion and calling is to introduce others especially children to Christ and to disciple the same to become His servants.
To be a servant of good works unto Christ at home and abroad Married to William in 1985, we have two sons and a daughter.
I spent 17 years as an urban missionary. Both Annie & I have a MA in Urban Ministry from Gordon-Conwell. We were associate pastors at a bi-lingual church in Lawrence, MA before coming to CLJ.
I love discipleship ministry and mentoring folks in the Christian life. I especially love helping high schoolers in navigating the college entrance process.
Photography and biking are two of my past times.
My life scripture is proverb 3-5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path.

I am refreshed by collecting old wood furniture and restoring it back to it's former glory. Walking along the beach; hearing the sounds of nature. Hanging out with my daughter Lucinia. I absolutely love the smell of honeysuckle & saltwater. My journal, a pen in hand with traditional Jazz in my ears, never gets old and gives me so much joy!

I am refreshed by meditating as I do nature walks, especially around my favorite place, Jordan Pond in Mount Desert Island, Maine.
Two Scriptures I am striving to embrace are "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"-Romans 8:1 and "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”- Romans 8:38-39
I am refreshed by doing a creative sewing project or listening to a good audio book.
ROBERTO MIRANDA, SENIOR PASTOR
One of many favorite verses: Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
I was 10 years old when I came to this country, originally a Brooklyn boy. Have been married for almost 36 years to Pastor Meche. We have two married daughters and three grandchildren (so far!).
I love to travel to countries with an ancient history, and especially enjoy spending time at our house in Maine. Love rural places and ocean views in New England.

My life scripture is Psalm 40:1-5 "He brought me up out of a horrible pit... and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps, He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God...."
I am refreshed by being thankful, enjoying the outdoors; rivers, beach, walking, mountains, spending time reading God's word and hearing from the Holy Spirit, and daily devotional reading, and letting God's love flow through me to others.
I lead the Women's Ministry in the English service. I am passionate about coaching and helping women to discover who they are in Christ and how God has uniquely gifted them.
I enjoy public speaking, fine arts, reading about leadership and writing. My current project is a book based on the epistle of James whose working title is, The St. James Guide to the Good Life.
