Marina Miranda has served as Director of Children's Ministry of Lion of Judah since July 2020. She was born in Santo Domingo, DR, and moved with her family to Brooklyn, New York, when she was 12 years old.

After she completed high school, her family came to New England, where she received a bachelor's degree in Spanish American literature from the University of Lowell, MA.

Marina earned a master's degree in Early Childhood Education at Wheelock College, and was a teacher in the Boston Public Schools for 32 years. Upon retiring she answered the call to be Director of Children's Ministry at CLJ.
She currently lives in the city of Somerville with her husband, Samuel Acevedo, associate pastor at Congregation Lion of Judah.


Sony Del Valle was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where she graduated from the Caribbean Theological School with a Bachelor of Arts Concentration in Christian Education and Electives in Pastoral Ministry.

She served as a teacher, counselor and chaplain at the Baptist School of Carolina, Puerto Rico, the Presbyterian School of Puerto Nuevo and at the Baptist School of Gurabo. She pastored with her husband, Angel Del Valle, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, and also served the Ministry in different churches, radio and community for many years.

In 1999 Sony and Angel arrived in Boston and since 2000, Sony has worked in the Chelsea Special Education Department as a Visual Production Specialist (Braille Transcriber).

Sony came to CLJ 20 years ago and has served in different ministries/programs: in the Early Childhood Education Ministry, Praise Leader and Worshiper at MED. At AWANA she was Worship Coordinator, T&T and Sparks director and finally commander.

Sony and her husband, Angel, passionately serve God at CLJ. They have 2 children, Gilmathan and Sonyangelie Del Valle.


Wilson Santos was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States at 4. Currently, he is a Supervisor of Attendance in Boston Public Schools and has worked in education for 18 years as a high school counselor and program director. Before joining BPS, he worked in Human Services for DYS and DCF. He holds a BA from Fitchburg State University in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in School Counseling from Cambridge College. He is also on the Board of Deacons of Congregation Lion of Judah. He serves as the youth director, where he attends with his wife, Sugeily, and two daughters, Ariana and Angelise.
